The banquet chairperson is designated to maintain the membership list.
Duties: To mail membership renewal request letters twice annually. These are normally done in May, following spring auditions and in November following the annual meeting. Also responsible for updating the SCP database with current membership status information.
Obtain a current listing of SCP members from the Corresponding
Secretary or from the previous
Membership chair. Mail notices to all members who are due or past due.
Notices can be simple requests that it’s time to renew dues. You can make
your own form letter, usually 3up to a page.
Update the database after receiving paid dues listing from the Treasurer.
Dues notifications are normally sent with the September newsletter along with banquet information. We also normally have a booth set up at auditions for new members and renewal payments. It is the policy of SCP that all actors in our productions are to be members. It is advisable to work with each show Director or Stage Manager to see which cast members need a membership letter.
